betterman defined: manup fall study
This Fall, ManUp will be trekking through the BetterMan Defined Series Sessions 1 & 2:
Session 1 - A BetterMan Courageously Follows God's Word (5 Weeks)
Session 2 - A BetterMan Loves and Protects God's Woman (5 Weeks)
We cannot become what we cannot define. If we don’t have a working definition of Biblical manhood, then the world will give us its own. God has given us the blueprints in His Word, and has defined the call to every man that He has created. The questions is, do you know what His definition is and are you engaged in becoming it?
BetterMan Defined is a follow-up series built on the 11-week BetterMan Core Curriculum. BetterMan Defined is a series of four 5-week curriculums—each curriculum is a deep dive into the key principles of biblical manhood.
Biblically rich, theologically sound, and incredibly practical, each study includes a workbook and discussion questions for your ManUp Group to discuss together. We'll gather together for the teaching and worship, and then breakout into small groups for discussion.
Registration: $22 (includes the books, hospitality, and childcare provided for infants through 5th grade). Please note that pre-registration is requested for childcare to help our wonderful children's ministry staff prepare to meet their needs while you're in study.

The BetterMan San Diego Conference is a call to action for men who refuse to drift. This is not another event, it’s a line in the sand.
In a culture where manhood has been blurred, diminished, and redefined, this is a decisive moment for men to return to God’s original design. From the beginning, man was created with purpose- to lead, to protect, to cultivate, and to walk in faithful obedience to the Lord. This conference is about reclaiming that identity.
Over the course of our time together, you’ll be challenged, equipped, and connected with other men who are serious about living with purpose. Through powerful teaching, real stories, and honest conversations, we’ll tackle what it means to follow Christ in today’s world - as husbands, fathers, leaders, and brothers.
You can expect:
- Biblical Clarity — Understand who you are in Christ and what He’s calling you to
- Practical Tools — Walk away with a plan to lead in your home, church, and work
- Authentic Brotherhood — No masks, no posturing—just men sharpening men
- A Call to Action — This is not about inspiration, it’s about transformation. You will leave with a clear next step and the conviction to walk it out.

Manup summer competitive games
Competition. Some men thrive on it, others abuse it. Scripture is clear that there are moments as disciples where we need to embrace the competitive nature of the call, either as one who is in a race, or competing in athletics. We’re called to finish well, and receive a lasting crown, which will only be awarded to those who compete according to God’s rules.
As men we are designed by God to forge tight bonds with one another and be our brother's keeper. Some of the best lessons from God's Word are learned through study, while others are best received by experience. The Apostle Paul made consistent reference to the Roman Coliseum, and for the believer, we also are competing in front of a ‘Great Cloud of Witnesses”. How will you finish?
ManUp is hosting a full summer of Competitive Games. Are you ready? Each month will offer a new theme and faith lesson, tied to a teaching at the MeatUp with a small group outing and discussion. You will also be able to register for the monthly competitive event that coincides with the theme of the month, as well as join us for the monthly prayer huddle.
Grill with your brothers. Discuss God's Word. Put some sweat and hustle in your faith. Remember, not all competition is a bad thing, are you in?

manup summer meatups
ManUp MeatUps are special nights dedicated to grilling, feasting and fellowshipping. Come for the community and be encouraged and challenged with us. This summer, ManUp will host a full summer of Competitive Games; each month will offer a new theme and faith lesson, tied to a teaching at the MeatUp with a small group outing and discussion. You will also be able to register for the monthly competitive event that coincides with the theme of the month, as well as join us for the monthly prayer huddle.
AREA 51
Tuesdays, 6-8pm | RoomE
Secrecy. Conspiracy. Off Limits. If Area 51 had a stigma, that would be it. Everyone knows it exists, yet it's still forbidden territory. In the same way, the sexual struggles inside the heart of man are present. Only when he gives someone the clearance of accountability, he can protect himself from self-deception and defeat. Pornography and sexual sin is the great manslayer of our generation, and we are tired of seeing God's men losing the battle in an isolated fortress of secret sin. It's time for full disclosure and to enter Area 51.
Area 51 is an intensive accountability pursuit with scripture, testimony, and a verse-by-verse walk through Psalm 51, charting the course from Confession, to Repentance, and Restoration. You will also be paired with an Advocate for accountability and prayer. Whether you are in the thick of the fight and need accountability, or you want to be your brother's keeper and help as an advocate, there is a spot for you here.
