we are called to
love god
God is our priority. Through Jesus Christ each of us has entered into a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe. When we meet together we all give ourselves to Him again in worship. We expect to encounter God in every meeting. Since God desires to speak to us, we emphasize the study of the Bible in our services and demand that our leaders spend time in prayer seeking God’s will.
love PEOPLE
One of the most remarkable characteristics of a disciple of Jesus Christ is love. Jesus told us not only to love one another but to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we are the people that God has called us to be, we must have love. It’s not negotiable. We strive to love the unloveable, love our neighbor, love each other, and love our enemies.
John 13:34-35:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
make disciples
The Great Commission is clear that we are to go and make disciples. It doesn’t tell us to go and make converts or go and get people to pray a prayer to save themselves. Making disciples is the clear directive that Jesus gave to us before he ascended into heaven. Our highest aim at CCO is to be disciples who make disciples and to do this with intentionality. Jesus’ last words are our first mission.
The Mission
The mission of Calvary Chapel Oceanside is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The Vision
The vision of Calvary Chapel Oceanside is to create a community of authentic disciples and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the Gospel, as people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.
what we believe
In getting to know and commit to a local church,
it is vitally important to know what that church is founded on and believes in.
WE ARE RELATED
TO GOD
In fact, God is our priority. Through Jesus Christ each of us has entered into a personal relationship with God. When we meet together we all give ourselves to Him again in worship. We expect to encounter God in every meeting. Since God desires to speak to us, we emphasize the study of the Bible in our services and demand that our leaders spend time in prayer seeking God’s will.
we are related
to one another
Every Christian who knows God and is surrendered to His Spirit can minister to others with biblical wisdom and spiritual gifts.
As a church, we spend time encouraging, supporting, and healing each other. We strive to engage the love of God when
strengthening the spiritual life of others. Our ministry is for individuals, marriages, families, and children.

we are related
to the world
While many people in our society resist God's will and rules, we embrace His kingdom and government. Nevertheless, we are the world's best friend. We are here to share God's life and blessings to our nation and community as well as others in distant countries. The church is an instrument of God's healing for people whose lives have been broken by rejection, abuse, alcoholism, death and many other hurts which are present in our society. There is hope and we are here to proclaim the reality of God to the world.
