Frequently asked questions
Q: What type of church is Calvary Chapel Oceanside?
A: Calvary Chapel Oceanside (CCO) is a growing community of people who are intentionally following Jesus, who are being changed daily by Jesus, and who are committed to the mission of Jesus - to make disciples everywhere. We’d love for you to join us!
Q: What is a service like at CCO?
A: Every weekend we have three identical in-person services to choose from. Services times are Saturdays at 6:00 pm, and Sundays at 9:00 & 11:00 am, and last approximately 90 minutes.
Our typical weekend services consist of contemporary-style music with a wide range of electric instruments and drums. The songs we sing together are mostly current worship songs with occasional traditional songs and hymns mixed in. In each service, we provide practical teaching, encouragement, and challenge from the Word of God for the real things we face in our everyday lives.
All weekend services are live-streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and our CCO App. Kids of all ages are welcomed in our Main Sanctuary for all services. We love kids and feel it is a good practice for families to worship together. In addition, we offer a private room for nursing mothers and a room for families to view the service at the back of the auditorium, if desired. Please ask an usher in lobby for direction to these rooms.

Q: When should I arrive?
A: Plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to the service you are attending which will allow you plenty of time for us to meet you and show you around. If you are checking in your kids for the first time, plan on 20 minutes.
Q: Where should I park?
A: We have parking available, including spots reserved for first-time visitors and handicap-accessible spaces.
Q: Where do I go after I arrive?
A: We’ve been waiting for you! We know how stressful coming to a new church can be so we want to limit that for you. On your first visit, hopefully you feel the love as you’re greeted by the members of our welcome team as you make your way to the service. Our team will be more than happy to answer questions, help you find the right classrooms for your children and even escort you to where you need to go.
