I love God will all my heart, mind, and soul to the best of my abilities. I am not where I want to be, but I am not where I was.
I have learned I will never be perfect on my own, my perfection is in Jesus Christ. I will never be righteous on my own, it is His righteousness that is accredited to me. There is nothing good in me, all goodness is found in the Father.
I also love God's Word, it instructs me in the way I should conduct myself as I journey along this path. Psalm Chapter 1 cautions me about my associations. Ecclesiastes Chapter 12 reminds me not to forget the One who made me, that this life is only temporary, and my duty is to fear God and keep His commandments (by living in obedience to the Holy Spirit that God have given to all believers).
My prayer for a godly wife was answered when I married Glenda. We have five children, eight grandchildren and two are now with the Lord. We've been married since July 1983, over 40 years! Glenda has been an immense help to me in ministry all these years.
