waypoint & grief pastor

I love God will all my heart, mind, and soul to the best of my abilities. I am not where I want to be, but I am not where I was.

I have learned I will never be perfect on my own, my perfection is in Jesus Christ. I will never be righteous on my own, it is His righteousness that is accredited to me. There is nothing good in me, all goodness is found in the Father.

I also love God's Word, it instructs me in the way I should conduct myself as I journey along this path. Psalm Chapter 1 cautions me about my associations. Ecclesiastes Chapter 12 reminds me not to forget the One who made me, that this life is only temporary, and my duty is to fear God and keep His commandments (by living in obedience to the Holy Spirit that God have given to all believers).

My prayer for a godly wife was answered when I married Glenda. We have five children, eight grandchildren and two are now with the Lord. We've been married since July 1983, over 40 years! Glenda has been an immense help to me in ministry all these years.

Ministry Experience:
- I came to Jesus Christ at age 15 and felt there was a calling on my life for ministry, but did not answer it until 1984 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

- I was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Hightower. Ordained in 1991 at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Oceanside under the leadership of Pastor W. W. Wright by the Ordaining Council of San Diego and served at several other churches in Oceanside in various capacities until present.

- In 2010, Glenda and I came to Calvary Chapel Oceanside and have served in various ministries. I was a Pastoral Intern, until this current appointment as one of the Pastors at Calvary Chapel Oceanside.

God bless you and yours.
