our culture

1. What type of church is Calvary Chapel of Oceanside (CCO)?

Calvary Chapel Oceanside (CCO) is a growing community of people who are intentionally following Jesus, who are being changed daily by Jesus, and who are committed to the mission of Jesus - to make disciples everywhere. We’d love for you to join us!

2. How do I learn about your beliefs?

Please head over to our Mission and Vision webpage to learn all about what we believe.

3. What should I wear?

Generally, we’re pretty casual and comfortable when we gather. We want you to be comfortable, so dress up or dress casually. For us, it’s not about the way we look; it’s about being real with one another as we seek to honor and hear from Jesus. We welcome you to come as you are!

4. What happens when I arrive?

We’ve been waiting for you! We know how stressful coming to a new church can be so we want to limit that for you. On your first visit, hopefully you feel the love as you’re greeted by the members of our welcome team as you make your way to the service. We have plenty of designated spots at the front of our building for our First-time Guests and those needing disability parking.

No doubt you will have questions when you arrive so we have people waiting at the entrance to assist you with where to go, where to take your kids, and even where to find a cup of coffee and donut. Simply look for a Welcome Team member, they’d love you point you in the right direction.

5. What is a service like at CCO?

Every weekend we have three identical in-person services to choose from. Services times are Saturdays at 6:00 pm, and Sundays at 9:00 & 11:00 am, and last approximately 90 minutes.

OOur typical weekend services consist of contemporary-style music with a wide range of electric instruments and drums. The songs we sing together are mostly current worship songs with occasional traditional songs and hymns mixed in. In each service, we provide practical teaching, encouragement, and challenge from the Word of God for the real things we face in our everyday lives.

All weekend Services are live-streamed on
FacebookYouTube, and our CCO App. Kids of all ages are welcomed in our Main Sanctuary for all services. We love kids and feel it is a good practice for families to worship together. In addition, we offer a private room for nursing mothers and a room for families to view the service at the back of the auditorium, if desired. Please ask an usher in lobby for direction to these rooms.

6. What is an online service like?

We live stream all weekend Services on Sundays at 6:00pm, and Sundays at 9:00am and 11:00am. Download our CCO app where you can watch live or search for past messages. See our Media webpage for more information.

getting connected

1. How can I meet others and get connected?

Well, if you haven’t already, join us for one of our weekend Services. We would love to meet you and let you know a little more about us. We think you like what you see!

We know that finding and connecting to a new Church home can be a BIG deal—we get it!  So here at CCO, we have a clear 3 Step pathway to help guide you. We call it
Starting Point. And what better place to begin your Starting Point:

  • Step 1) Get Connected.
This one-day class gives you a chance to hear a bit about us, what we stand for, where we are going as a Church and how you can connect with our Church community. Also, during our time, we’d love to get to know you a little bit too. To register for our next scheduled class, see our website, or better yet, talk with one of our Welcome team members after the Service and take the next step with us!

  • Step 2) Get Growing
This three-week class will help you move forward in your spiritual life, giving you the practice and habits necessary to live and love more like Jesus.

  • Step 3) Get on Mission
This five-week class will help you discover how God has uniquely designed you and called you to live your life with real purpose.

2. What kind of activities do you offer?

CCO offers many activities throughout the year from kids to adults. Check out our Community Events & Classes. To find your CCO Community, check out All Groups.

1. What about giving?

We believe all of our abilities and possessions have been given to us by God, and we’re caretakers of them. We’ve learned when we trust God in obedience by giving back to Him a portion – He is honored and provides for us. If you’re new with us or just checking out CCO, please feel no obligation to give to CCO. You are our guests, and we pray that you will be encouraged by your time with us and want to become part of our community in the future.

For those who call CCO their home, we provide four ways to give: in the CCO App, in person during all services or by mail, or give online.

2. Can I give online through my computer or cell phone?

Yes! You can go online to our CCO website or use our CCO app and click on the “Give” button. This will connect you with RebelGive, our church donation portal.

3. Is RebelGive secure?

Yes! We use 256-bit encryption, which is the same level as every major bank. Each transaction uses secure tokens, so that givers' information is protected. We are also PCI compliant along with our Tier 1 processing partner (one of the top 3 in the world). This means every transaction through RebelGive meets a set of security standards designed to ensure that ALL companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

4. What payment methods can I use?

Making a gift to CCO through RebelGive is incredibly simple. You can use any credit or debit card, yes, even AMEX or you can securely log in to your bank account and transfer funds from your checking or savings account.

5. Can I make a recurring gift?

Yes! You can make a one-time donation or set-up a recurring gift weekly, monthly, or on any specific day of the month.

6. Can I designate my online giving to a specific fund?

Jr. High (6th – 8th grade) and High School (9th – 12th grade) groups. Students gather in their activity rooms upstairs. To find these rooms, and times students meet, visit their website or see one of our Welcome Team members out front or in the lobby.

2. Where do I check-in my kids?

City Kids is located on the 1st floor. Entrance is on the left of the Main Sanctuary lobby. City Kids is open 15 minutes prior to all service times and closes registration 20 minutes after services start. Please pre-register prior to your visit.

1. Do you offer Baby/Child Dedications?

Yes! This is an important milestone in your lives and your child's life. Dedications differ from baptisms because in a baptism the child is considered to be saved but this is not a biblical pattern. Salvation comes when one is able to understand and accept Jesus as their Savior and is committed to walking in obedience. The request for a dedication is you, as parents, professing to provide a biblical home environment for your child so that when he or she comes to the age of understanding, he / she will accept Jesus as his / her Savior. If you have any further questions about dedicating your child, please call the church office to talk with one of our pastors.

2. Do you offer Memorial / Wedding Services?

Yes! Please contact our office at (760) 754-1234.

3. What Bible translation do you use?

We primarily teach from the ESV translation.

We provide helpful direction for new or unsure believers to grow in their relationship with Christ. Click to learning more about Starting Point.

Visit one of our Prayer Team members in front of the stage after every service. We also have prayer on Sunday mornings at 8am at the main entrance of CCO. Click the following button to submit a prayer request. To make a counseling appointment please call the office at (760) 754-1234.
